WHAT WE DO
MISSION & HISTORY
The INTERNATIONAL BIRD CONSERVATION PARTNERSHIP (IBCP) fosters and supports research, education and partnerships that promote the conservation of birds worldwide.
We work together with citizen scientists, local, and indigenous communities to conduct bird surveys, research, and monitoring. We work collaboratively to analyze and interpret the results of this work, and we use them to formulate conservation recommendations. We then provide these recommendations as a basis for conservation action. Our goal is a world rich in both biodiversity and human cultural diversity.
FOCAL AREAS
We conduct, facilitate, and support research that informs and promotes bird conservation.
Research
We investigate conservation challenges including logging, wildlife trade, climate change, invasive species, and other problems to assess their impacts on birds.
Education
We design, provide ,and support education and training to promote bird conservation.
Conservation Partnerships
We use research to make conservation recommendations, and we partner with communities to implement solutions.
