IBCP Rose Fellow Kristen Rosamond, who is now pursuing a PhD at the University of Missouri-St. Louis, presented research from her recent publication at the Migrant Landbird Study Group webinar on Wednesday, October 20th, together with talks on migratory birds from speakers representing Switzerland, South Africa, and Czechia. In her presentation, Kristen discussed the contrasting responses of two North American migratory songbirds, Dickcissels (Spiza americana) and Brown-headed Cowbirds (Molothrus ater), to regional climate change on their breeding grounds in conservation grasslands in the Platte River Valley, Nebraska.
